Two Charged In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
The charges follow an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A young child was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.
This event – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
